Food

  • Summary

Click on the picture to enlarge it and click on the tab for more information and recommendations. St. Louis ribs are quite famous, so St. Louis is naturally the best place to get them.

GENERAL

  • This spacious restaurant is easily one of the best restaurants in St. Louis, often selling out well before closing time.
  • According to the food network, Pappy’s Smokehouse has the best ribs in America.
  • Ideally, arrive around opening time in order to secure a spot in line.

What to order: Of course, I must recommend the Ribs. They are tender, perfectly salted, and slightly sweet (due to the honey glaze).

  • The Shaved Duck is not your traditional barbecue restaurant.
  • Despite being one of the most popular restaurants in St. Louis, it has a very strange hole-in-the-wall and elegant feel at the same time. The dining tables are fancier, and there is even a bar.
  • In addition to the traditional and excellent barbecue options, they also specialize in duck dishes.

What to order: For traditional barbecue, I recommend the combination plate with Brisket and Pulled Pork. If you are not averse to duck, then I recommend the Duck Confit as an appetizer.
